Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information T & R Paving Ltd collects when you contact us or make an enquiry, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It is written in plain terms. If anything is unclear, please ask.

Who we are

T & R Paving Ltd is a UK paving and landscaping business. Our registered address is Yard 2, Rear of Kenwood, Green Lane, Chessington, Surrey KT9 2DS. We are the data controller for the information you give us. For any data-protection question, or to make a request about your information, contact us at tandrpavingltd@hotmail.co.uk or on 0800 009 3187, marked for the attention of the business owner.

What information we collect

When you complete a form on this site, call, email or message us, we collect the details you choose to give us: typically your name, phone number, email address, the address or area of the work, and a description of the job you need. We do not ask for more than we need to respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.

Like most websites, we also collect limited technical information about your visit, such as your device type, approximate location and the pages you view. This is described under Cookies and analytics below.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the details you provide only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote, carry out any work you go on to book, and keep records of that work.

  • To take steps to enter into a contract: handling your enquiry and preparing a quote you have asked for.
  • Legitimate interests: responding to potential customers and running our business, including keeping records of the jobs we have carried out.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies, which you control through the cookie banner on this site.

We do not use your enquiry details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or trade your information.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where we need to in order to run the website and respond to you, and we require anyone who handles it on our behalf to protect it and use it only for the purpose we set:

  • Digital Five hosts this website and delivers and stores enquiry messages on our behalf (email delivery is handled by their provider, Postmark).
  • Google Analytics gives us anonymous statistics about how the website is used, so we can improve it. It runs only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Trustindex displays our customer reviews. Its widget loads only if you accept the relevant cookies in the banner.
  • We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and analytics

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. In line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we ask for your consent before using any non-essential cookies. The first time you visit, a consent banner lets you accept or reject each category:

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used. Set only if you accept.
  • Advertising: cookies set by the Trustindex reviews widget inside its own frame. Set only if you accept.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Where we store it, and how long we keep it

Your information is held on secure servers within the UK or the European Economic Area. We keep enquiry details for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records for as long as we need to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations, usually up to six years, after which we delete them.

Your rights

While we hold your personal information, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete it, where there is no ongoing reason to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to a particular use;
  • ask us to transfer it to another provider; and
  • withdraw your consent to cookies at any time.

To make a request, contact us using the details above. We may need to confirm your identity before we release any information. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
